Halloween is an exciting time of year for kids, and to help them have a safe holiday, here are some tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Make sure your child can see. Masks and costumes shouldn’t block their vision.
Use the buddy system. Children should trick or treat in groups, not alone.
Make sure your child waits to eat candy until they get home.
Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Consider adding reflective tape or striping to costumes and trick-or-treat bags for greater visibility.
