National Nurses Week – James Ellis
For National Nurses Week we would like to introduce you to James Ellis.
James works at our Collin County locations (Plano Children’s Medical Clinic, Wylie Children’s Medical Clinic and the Collin County Center). James loves being a nurse because “Nursing is a continuous learning experience that challenges us daily. Patients are a blessing who are entrusting their souls into our care. A little empathy goes a long way, and those that you touch are so appreciative of the care you provide for them. The huge glowing smile it brings to their face is priceless and I wouldn’t trade it for millions. Sometimes just a listening ear is all it takes to heal someone’s soul, especially when they feel as though no one wants to listen anymore. Helping someone in need is the greatest gift in life, the rewards from my career are priceless!”
I asked James’ Medical Assistants to talk about James as a nurse and boss. Here is what they had to say:
“Even though I haven’t had many jobs in the medical field I would say James is the best boss ever! Not only does he go out of his way to make sure everyone understands their duties, but he is also a mentor to us. James, not only cares about how we learn and grow at work but how we use our knowledge outside of work and implement it in our regular lives.”
“He awesome always encouraging us to do our best to improve.”
“Mr. James can be described as a leader, Coach, supportive, A motivational figure, Guiding, inspires his team to do better, and set goals. He is a mentor to us all, understanding to our needs.”
